REM TEC DEVELOPED THE
AGROVOLTAICO® TECHNOLOGY,
PATENTED WORLDWIDE.
THE CONCEPT OF AGROVOLTAICO®
IS TO EXPLOIT THE LAND IN ORDER
TO PRODUCE ELECTRIC ENERGY,
KEEPING THE SOIL AVAILABLE
FOR AGRICULTURE.

The Agrovoltaico® is a single or double axis tracking solar system, that allows to transform into electric power the maximum amount of solar energy.

The Agrovoltaico® technology allows even an increase of agricultural yield, thanks to the shadows generated by the PV modules. Agriculture and energy production are reached following agricultural product quality criteria. The studies made in cooperation with the University of Piacenza, the works done by Fraunhofer Institute and the experience got on the field

since 2011, allowed to reach an optimal knowledge of the PV shadowing effect on the agricultural yield. While on some crops the Agrovoltaico® system does not involves any significant yield difference, on some others it improves the production. The studies showed a yield decrease (less than 3%) only for wheat and maize.

SOLAR TRACKING

REM Tec patented worldwide the solar tracking technology. The plants built with the REM Tec patent are about 5m high and allow a very low impact of the shadows on the agricultural crops.
The height also allows all the agricultural vehicles to easily operate on the field.
Together with the University of Piacenza, REM Tec developed a family of solar trackers, that allow to reach optimal agricultural yield and efficient energy production.
