REM Tec has signed a JDA with Eni for joint research on certain oilseed species grown in an agrivoltaic system.
The research will be conducted over a period of three years. The experimental fields involved in the research will be the agrivoltaic plant managed by REM TEC located in Borgo Virgilio (MN) and Eni sites in Italy.
REM Tec has been operating in the Agrovoltaico® sector for almost a decade and is present in various European countries, as well as in Asia and the Middle East.
REM Tec owns the world’s first patent for the construction of agrivoltaic systems and 15 other patents relating to implementations of this system, as well as being the owner of the AGROVOLTAICO® trademark.
The collaboration with Eni will have a significant influence on sustainability, in relation to the agronomic and technological aspects of the software and hardware of the subsystems that define the agrivoltaic project.
